Rio Rancho will receive a sizeable grant to help with “well water infastructure” the amount awarded is 286,000 dollars.

Premiere Movie Theater open June 9th free admission first day!

The new theater will be open on June 9th and the admission will be free.

Sadly I will be moving to Colorado Springs shortly. I have enjoyed living here and I am very sad to moving. I will post as new development stories until I leave. As of lately there has been a lot of new stores opening.

Five Guys Burgers coming to Rio Rancho

As many of you know a Five Guy Burgers is going to open anytime by the theater. There will be other restaurants near we will have to wait and see.

Shell Gas Station coming to Northern and Unser

A new shell gas station is coming to Northern and Unser. It will also have a car wash how exciting. We seriously needed a gas station out here!!!

Premiere Cinemas almost Open

Just a few more weeks before the new movie theater is open. This should be open in mid June. It is a state of the art theater that will be all digital.

Dions and Ihop coming to Cabezon Commons.

In the N.M. Business Weekly they have an article that has details on a Ihop and Dions coming to an area called Cabezon Commons. This is at the entrance of Cabezon. The reasoning for the selection of this area is the new hospital that will open soon.

Jack and the Box will open in September in Rio Rancho

Seame Street Live will present “Elmo’s Healthy Heroes” in Rio Rancho

Sesame Street Live will be in perfroming in Rio Rancho at the Santa Ana Star Center on April 12th and 13th. There is a variety of packages available to families. The VIP ticket package will include a meet and greet with the character and photo opportunity.

Taste of Rio Rancho

The Santa Ana Star Center will be hosting an event called Taste of Rio Rancho on March 19. This will be from 4:30pm-7:00pm. This will feature numerous Rio Rancho restaurants and free samples from these restaurants. Tickets will cost ten dollars and will include admission to the Thunderbirds game.

The following restaurants will be particpiating:

Pizza 9, Turtle Mountain Brewing Company, Hot Tamales, Joes Past House, Dion’s, Davidos’s Pizza, Applebee’s, Dairy Queen, Smokehouse BBQ.
